Poufs are versatile pieces of furniture that can tie your room together effortlessly. They are unique in that they are solid, yet soft, and therefore they can be used in a variety of different ways. Poufs can function as a chair, footrest, and additional tabletop. and more depending on where they are located.

You might as well just make it yourself. It can be filled with almost anything you have in your hands, polyester balls, plastic grocery bags, towels/sheets, or even old clothing. Polyester fiber can easily be found in most fabric stores, however, we think it’s better to use old clothing to fill up your pouf. It will make it heavy, plump, and comfortable!

You can decorate your pouf in front of a sofa or accent chairs. One or two are great when you want to prop up your feet. You can also use them in lieu of a table. Just a tray on top for an instant place to rest snacks and beverages. If your coffee or side table has room, simply slide the poufs underneath when not in use.

We have another known as the ottomans, these are almost always firmer and less pillowy, whereas some poufs are more like oversized pillows than anything else. Some ottomans have legs that raise them slightly while most poufs sit flat on the ground. Ottoman! You must be wondering why? You might ask yourself if poufs are still in style and the answer will be a YES, Moroccan poufs might be comfy but they are definitely a thing of the past in home interiors according to Korina Khamis from Hibou design. However, this trend has yet to develop a replacement which might be why poufs keep appearing.

They are called poufs originally French with the word implying something puffed up. You can almost see a Gallic shrug. The Ottoman, on the other hand, originates as the name implies from Turkey and usually had a drawer for storage. Poufs are normally used as a focal point, they are comfortable to lounge on, going further to promote good posture and easy to blend in within your household, according to the color, texture, and fabric of your choice.
